The 2024 Adirondack Balloon Festival takes place in the Lake George/Glens Falls/Queensbury region, and is the can't-miss fall festival of the season in the southern Adirondacks! Get the schedule below.
2024 Adirondack Balloon Festival Schedule
Thursday, September 19: Crandall Park, Glens Falls
- 4pm to 6pm: Opening Musical Performance by Jonathan Newell Band
- 5pm: Opening Ceremonies, Food Vendors & Kids Activities
- 5:30pm to 6:15pm: Flight of Up to 15 Balloons, special shapes possible
- 7pm to 9pm: Musical Performance by the NY Players
- 7:45pm (approximate): Balloon Moonglow
Friday, September 20: Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury
- 3pm: Gates Open to the Public, Craft Fair by Zonta, Kids Activities, Food Vendors
- 4pm to 6pm: Musical Performance by The E-Block
- 5pm to 6:15pm: Flight of Up to 70 Balloons, including special shapes
Saturday, September 21: Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury
- 5am: Craft Fair by Zonta, Kids Activities, Food Vendors
- 6:30am to 7:30am: Flight of 100+ Balloons, including special shapes
- 2pm to 4pm: Musical Performance by the Sam Luke Trio
- 5pm to 7pm: Musical Performance by The RasinBeats
- 5pm to 6:15pm: Flight of Up to 50 Balloons, including special shapes
- 7:45pm: Lighting Up the Night Moonglow With 40+ Balloons
Sunday, September 22: Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury
- 5am: Craft Fair by Zonta, Kids Activities, Food Vendors
- 6:30am: Flight of Up to 100 Balloons, including special shapes
- 10am: Gates Close
Tethered Balloon Rides: What to Know
Tethered balloon rides will be available at $25 per person; children under 3 are free with the purchase of an adult ticket. The balloon basket is handicap accessible.
Tethered rides will take place all morning and afternoon flight times at the airport. You can find them in a roped off area south of the tents.
No tickets for this will be sold in advance - they are only purchased from the pilot at the tethered balloon location.

There are no dogs, drones, remote control aircraft, or smoking allowed at any festival events. VIP parking passes are sold out.
