The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is asking for
public comment as it develops a management plan for the new Essex Chain of Lakes Complex. This is a unique, ecologically rich and special place that deserves protection for future generations.
We (The Adirondack Council) are submitting comments to ask the DEC to make sure that the Park’s waters, wilderness and wildlife are protected within this complex. A good plan will provide appropriate recreational access and further enhance the economy of the surrounding communities, while still preserving the natural resources as paramount.
