Eagle Lake is a smaller body of water but offers great opportunities for smallmouth bass, northern pike, and brown trout.
Eagle Lake is a small body of water that runs along Route 74. The lake is a great place to fish for smallmouth bass, northern pike, and brown trout.
Smallmouth bass can be caught along the rocky shorelines and islands. Northern pike can be found along weedlines and dropoffs, but both are challenging to catch. The DEC stocks the lake annually with over 5,000 brown trout, and the best place to find them are in the deep basin.
Ice anglers enjoy catching big pike and brown trout in the winter season.
To access Eagle Lake you can visit the south basin and the state owned car-top launch. Small and medium size boats can easily manuever under the causeway to the main basin.
