Forked Lake is a great fishing location for small and largemouth bass, brook trout, and landlocked salmon.
Forked Lake is home for a good population of smallmouth and laregemouth bass. The south end of lake has the best living quality for bass, smallmouth bass are in the rocky areas and largemouth bass will be shallow, stump-filled areas.
Anglers can find some brook trout in the spring season and landlocked salmon have been stocked there in recent years.
At the DEC campground you can find a dirt launch on the east end, a paved launch is located on the south end off Carry Road. You can not fish the north arm of the lake because it is privately owned.
