Overview

Jamestown Falls is one of the last sections of whitewater on Raquette River in Saint Lawrence County.

To access the falls, locate the DEC land identification sign on NY 56, 2.4 miles from the point where it intersects NY 3. The sign is somewhat hidden, but it marks a dirt road on the right side. 0.1 mile down the dirt road you'll reach the edge of the river. The falls is visible a couple hundred yards upstream on your right.

The only way to get closer to the falls from here is to canoe.
