Marble River

Franklin County, NY

Overview

The Marble River gives anglers five miles of fishing from the Chateaugay River upstream beyond the Chateaugay Fish Hatchery.

The Marble River is located in the northeastern corner of New York State in Franklin County. The Marble River holds a decent population of rainbow trout, brown trout, and brook trout. The spring-fed flow contains numerous pools and plenty of "pocket water".

Anglers can access the Marble River from the Sam Cook Roadat the Chateaugay River and from Route 374 and County Route 39 north of the village of Chateaugay and Route 11.

Rainbow trout may have whirling disease  and anglers are asked to not dispose of these fish in any other waters.
