Overview

Tenant Creek Falls is a .9 mile hike through hemlock groves and mature open hardwoods to the first waterfall. Two other falls can be reached via a 1.2 mile long unmarked foot path along the creek.

From Main Street in Northville, travel east on Reed Street, and continue north where it becomes Old State Road. Proceed until you reach Hope Falls Road on your right, and make that turn.

Off of Hope Falls Road, about .4 miles from the end of the road, is a newly constructed parking area right by the trailhead. You can no longer park at the old parking lot at the very end of Hope Falls Road, which is on private property.

The Tenant Creek Falls Trail now leaves from the back of the new parking area. Follow the marked trail 0.9 miles to reach the first waterfall.

There are three waterfalls on Tenant Creek. The trail isn't marked beyond the first, but there is an easily followable herd path that follows along the creek leading to the second and third falls, adding 1.2 additional miles to your hike. If you visit all three waterfalls, the route will be 2.1 miles one way.
