About this event
As part of our First Friday Bird Walks series, this event runs from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and is perfect for nature enthusiasts of all skill levels. Our friendly guides, Kristin Collins, an environmental educator at Point Au Roche State Park Nature Center, and Torey Patenaude, the Community Engagement and Outreach Manager for Champlain Area Trails, will lead the walk. While they're not expert birders, they bring a deep love for nature and an interest in birdwatching.
Explore the Great Outdoors:
Located on the stunning northwestern shore of Lake Champlain, Point Au Roche State Park features a wonderful combination of forested and open areas. As we stroll a few miles along the trails, we will look for birds that overwinter in this region. Enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Champlain and lush forests during this delightful morning outing!
Important Information:
- This is an outdoor walk in March, so dress warmly with good layers.
- BYOB (Bring Your Own Binoculars) – the Nature Center will provide a few pairs for those in need.
