The Lake Placid Film Festival will be returning this year on November 7-10, 2024!
Screenings for the Festival will take place at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts and the historic Palace Theatre. This year’s program includes 20 feature films and over 30 short films, all of which showcase the diverse cinematic achievements of filmmakers around the globe and in Upstate New York.
The Festival kicks off with a special 20th anniversary of the iconic hockey film, MIRACLE. Gavin O’Connor’s dramatic recount of the “Miracle on Ice” event during the 1980 Winter Olympic Games in Lake Placid will be introduced by Buzz Schneider, a member of the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team. The festival will also host a 20th anniversary screening of SHARK TALE, completely free to the public.
Come see the incredible filmmaking that is being brought to the Adirondack Region and gain some excitement for the festival!
