Light Up Saranac Lake: A Sparkling Tradition

SARANAC LAKE, NY – The Village of Saranac Lake, Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department, and Women’s Civic Chamber invite you to experience the magic of the season at the annual Light Up Saranac Lake, a joyful celebration of community, creativity, and holiday spirit! Join us on Friday, December 6th, 2024, for an evening of dazzling lights, festive music, and heartwarming traditions that bring neighbors together.

Event Schedule:

• 6:00 PM: Lighted Fire Truck Parade (Broadway to Main Street)
• 6:30 PM: Tree Lighting & Awards Ceremony (Berkeley Green) 
• 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Santa Meet-and-Greet (Saranac Lake Free Library)

This year's event kicks off at 6:00 PM with the Lighted Fire Truck Parade, a sparkling procession of fire trucks decked out in twinkling lights and festive decorations. Businesses, we’re also looking at you — bring your holiday spirit and enter a vehicle to compete for the prestigious Mayor’s Cup Award!

Following the parade, gather in Berkeley Green for an enchanting Tree Lighting Ceremony, featuring a countdown led by the one and only Santa Claus. Afterwards, children can visit Santa from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Saranac Lake Free Library, where holiday wishes can be whispered, and memories captured with a treasured photo.
