About this event
Stratton veterans will also tell you the ride is also known for the world famous fresh baked pies available to all at the finish line BBQ, which this year will be hosted at the Bloomingdale Fire Department.
But here's what it's really about. The kids. Your registration supports a wide variety of youth programs, including an annual bicycle rodeo, free helmet distribution and fitting, school back-pack program, support for foster children, and summer camp scholarships.
Since it began 23 years ago, the ride has generated over $100,000 for area youth programs.
When asked about the race, previous racers say that "This is a fantastic ride through New York’s North Country. The majority of the roads along the route are in low traffic areas which enhances rider safety. The roads are well maintained. The scenery is awesome including along the Saranac River, Union Falls and Franklin Falls Ponds and in the area near Paul Smith’s College. The Pat Stratton Century Ride should be on every serious road biker’s bucket list."
