Patch Challenge Hike @ Point Au Roche State Park

Tackle the Northern Pathways Challenge with a guided hike. The Northern Pathways Challenge requires hikers to take on three of five Clinton County trail options. After hiking three trails, you can register and pay $5 to receive the Northern Pathways Patch patch. 

We will hike the first hike of our group effort to earn the patch from the Northern Pathways Challenge. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the trails in Clinton County. We are hiking the Long Point Trail at Point Au Roche State Park, which offers a beautiful nature walk with peaceful lake views and surroundings.  This is considered an easy hike. It will be 3.7 miles, with under 100 feet of elevation gain. 

NEED TO KNOW: This is a morning walk in January, so it will be cold. Make sure to bring good layers to stay warm. 

DIRECTIONS:  Meet by the Nature Center. Point Au Roche State Park is at 19 Camp Red Cloud Rd, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
