Olmstedville is located in Essex County and is a hamlet in the town of Minerva. It is the largest hamlet in the town of Minerva and Minerva Central Schools are located there.
The massive Natural Stone Bridge & Caves is a great attraction located near Olmstedville. Dominated by a huge stone bridge arch, this outstanding display of Adirondack geology has attracted visitors for more than 200 years. You'll see many unique rock features, like the marble gorge, potholes and grottos, plus many waterfalls. For those who don't mind getting a little dusty and grimy, there is an "adventure tour" which explores more caves.
Eagle Point Campground is also located in nearby Pottersville on Schroon Lake's west shore. It offers opportunities for a variety of recreational activities - like canoeing, hiking, boating, fishing and bicycling - plus amenities like a boat launch and a swimming area.
